Descriptive Writing

Posted 3 October 2014

At the start of the week we were creating many descriptions based on a range of images, including a spooky castle. Within our writing we needed to include personification, similes, metaphors and different sentence types to help create vivid images in the reader’s mind. For our homework, we need to use all the features we have identified this week to describe a scene that is made out of sweets. Look at the image above, it looks delicious!

In Maths we have been focusing on decimals. This included placing decimals on a number line and solving a variety of money problems.

On Thursday, we continued our Sikhism topic in R.E. by learning about the Nishan Sahib. This is a triangular shaped flag and is often seen at the entrance of the Gurdwara.
