3LM

Welcome to Year 3LM

Our teacher is Mrs Lesley Martin and she is also the Deputy Head Teacher.

Our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Lucinda Beechey (HLTA)

This is our first year in Key Stage 2 and we will be studying many new and exciting topics. In History we will be investigating the Iron Age Celts, The Romans, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, our teacher tells us we will be researchers in to the past and we will complete lots of writing tasks and art-work around the people who shaped our past.

One of the first science topics we will be studying is Humans, including animals, we will learn about nutrition, the skeleton, joints and muscles and again complete lots of writing tasks.

Our teacher tells us all she loves writing and wants us all to be excellent writers in all subjects across the curriculum. So watch this space, as we want our work we produce for you to read and enjoy!

Mrs L Martin

Hello everyone, I am Mrs Martin and have been teaching here at Stanhope Primary School for a very long time! You may want to know a little bit about me so here goes. I have 2 daughters of my own, so yes I do like spending time with children and young people, hopefully they keep me young and up to date!! I love keeping fit, I run, take part in aerobics, I am a qualified instructor but my greatest love is walking. You may often see me walking around the local area, so make sure you give me a wave and say “hello”.

I love writing especially short stories, one day maybe I will publish some, so that is why I am very passionate for children to read lots and become writers in all subjects.

I class I am supported by Mrs Beechey, she releases me on a Thursday afternoon and all day Friday so I can complete my Deputy Head duties, but you will still see me in class and around school. She will tell you a little bit about herself now.
